The two most important Dutch studbook organizations for Texel residents are the ‘Nederlands Texels Schapenstamboek (NTS)’ and the ‘Texels Schapenstamboek Noord-Holland (TsNH)’. The TsNH is active in North Holland, the NTS in the rest of the Netherlands. Two organizations that work closely together to improve the Texelaar. The members of both organizations breed registered Thoroughbred Texel breeders according to the rules and guidelines of these organizations.
